Pedal Board Breakdown – Laurent Schroeder-Lebec – Pelican

The other day, I noticed that Play This Riff offered up a free video showing Pelican’s Laurent Schroeder-Lebec’s pedal board. I really like Pelican – specifically “City of Echos“. There was a while there where I was listening to that album solid, so I was super stoked to see this quick video of Laurent’s board. For those of you not familiar with Play This Riff… if you’re into ‘heavy-esque’ music and want to learn a few things, this site IS the site. You can learn the riffs from the guys that wrote them – bands like Fu Manchu, Anthrax, Clutch, Kyuss, Red Fang and a ton more. For more information about Play This Riff – check out PlayThisRiff.com also be sure to like PTR on Facebook and Twitter for their daily free videos!

Ok, back to this break down. Laurent has a very simple board that is extremely effective for his tone:

I loved city of echoes except for the atrocious drumming on the album. The fills their drummer plays are horrible and I felt like he got out of time and they left it.

Don’t know if it helps but the modded TS-9 was the Keeley baked mod.
