Today’s pedal line is from Clark Kaupke. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
Hey, I am Clark Kaupke. I started following Effects Bay on twitter, I can be found at @ClarkBBursey. I am full time in the music business and currently tour with Texas Alt Country/Folk Rock artist Brison Bursey ( www.brisonburseyband.com). With this band I go for a very organic earthy feel with my tone. I play through a Vox AC30 and a Ceritone/Doug Sewell Trainwreck Express Clone head w/ a Vox 2×12 cab loaded with 50’s Jensen Speakers. My main guitars are a 96 Fender tele w/ Glendale pots, bridge, and saddles and Lindy Fralin Blues pickups, Fender Western Tele, Fender JA90 Thinline set neck tele with Duncan P90’s, 00 Bigsby tele loaded with a Lollar in the bridge and a 4 way switch and a Lindy Fralin model “fast back” maple neck and a 99 Fender Lone Star Strat.
Here is my signal path. It is rather simple.
Boss TU2 (first buffer)
Cry Baby Wah
Ernie Ball VP
96 Orange Fulldrive 2 (they are so much sweeter then the blue ones)
Fulltone OCD
Handwired original Lovepedal Eternity Burst (this is the best OD I have ever played, how ever it doesn’t get along well with others, I have to keep the 2 boss pedals on my board at the beginning and the end as buffers for it to work. When I get mad at it I replace it with a DMB Stellar Drive )
Keeley 4 knob comp
Keeley Phaser
MXR Carbon Copy ( it stays on basically all the time for a little bit of slap back on the end of things)
DMB Lunar Echo all analog echo!! Amazing pedal
Durham Sex Drive for lead boost
Keeley Modded TR2 (my second buffer)
Loop Master Amp switcher
