Loopers are incredibly useful for musicians on multiple levels. At first glance, a looper would be used simply as a jamming tool, but can easily go into creating complete sonic pieces (ala ambient creations, etc). Loopers are also very useful for song writing or practicing / creating solos or melody lines. I’ve dabbled in the world of solo ambient stuff with real time loops, but I think I use loopers for the most part for song writing and practicing sections. Recently, I’ve been thinking about using a looper as a segue tool between songs or during guitar changes for the band. My current board is getting pretty tight in regards to real estate, so the TC Electronic Ditto Looper with it’s amazingly small footprint might be the ticket. Regardless, I found this nice deal where you can get $10 off regular price and the unit ships for free via Amazon. I wanted to share.
