Okay, this one hurts a bit. There have been a few give aways where I wish I could keep the pedal for myself. Sometimes I genuinely link up with a pedal, and this is one of them. The Inductor Guitars MP-1 (Mellifluous Pussy) Fuzz. In a nutshell, this is a clone of the classic Interfax Harmonic Percolator (HP-1) with a few twists. Steve Albini is a musician known to use the original Interfax Harmonic Percolator in Shellac. Later he commissioned a builder to build some clones for Pussy Galore which he lovingly called Pussy Fuzzes. Click here for a great video where Steve talks about Harmonic Percolators
Erik Jarvi interned for a spell under Steve Albini at Electrical Audio, and later decided to start Inductor Guitars. Going through various circuit designs, he felt his version of the harmonic percolator sounded the best and went into production. Here we are today with the great sounding MP-1. It’s on my short list to buy in the future, and now you have a chance to get your own. For more information (demo and interview) read the following post – “Inductor Guitars MP-1 Fuzz Demo”
Okay, how do you enter for a chance to win the Inductor Guitars MP-1? Read below:
I’m going to select one random entry on July 6 (Fri) 12PM MST. I will email that random entry asking for the answer to the question listed below. They will have 24 hours to respond with the answer. If the 24 hours passes and I don’t hear from that finalist, I will select a new random entry and repeat the process until I receive confirmation from the winner. This is open to everyone. Yes, that means international! Also, one entry per person. Please read that last sentence again… “one” “entry” “per” “person”.
On top of that, I’m going to sweeten the deal. If you ‘LIKE’ EffectsBay on Facebook and you’re selected as the winner, I’ll throw in a extra prize – PRIZE 1 (x3) OR PRIZE 2 OR PRIZE 3 (x3). If you’re the winner (and like EffectsBay), you get to pick which one of the bonus prizes.
So, it’s pretty much a no-brainer to like Effectsbay on Facebook! Just click ‘like’ below or visit the EffectsBay Facebook page here.
So the question is…. “What band/artist do you think of… when you think of fuzzy goodness?”
