CONTEST IS CLOSED. I’m really excited about this give away. This is the first sponsored EffectsBay.com give away of 2011! I think it’s going to be a great year. I called Phil at Fat Tone Guitars to see if he would be interested in doing another give away…. and sure enough he was down. Not only was he down, but he’s offering up a great pedal for the give away! I have to say that Phil is a top notch guy and is someone I would highly recommend people to purchase high quality gear from.
For this give away, Phil of Fat Tone Guitars is giving away a Jack DeVille Electronics Dark Echo. Seriously.. I wish I didn’t have to give this thing away. I would love to own this pedal. This is a great sounding echo/delay pedal. It is described to be similar to a space echo, memory man and a echoplex all in one with the ability modulate or ‘sway’ the repeats. There is also a interesting feature to ‘hold’ the infinite repeats. So reactivating the switch will return the store infinite repeats. I could see some great potential there.
Here is the official description of the Jack DeVille Electronics Dark Echo
What if you could play your guitar in a desolate cave 20,000 leagues under the sea? I pondered this question as I designed the Dark Echo; and when the lab-coat came off, the wet-suit went on and lush echos trailed into oblivion, progressively darkening with every repeat. I dialed the repeat knob to maximum and I was up to my ears in a fluid wash of sound, ebbing and flowing like the tides of the ocean.
The Dark Echo embodies deep, dark delay with a very smooth, thick, and organic texture.
Included are controls for Delay Time, Repeats, Wet Blend, dynamic Sway modulation, and an internal trim-pot for output level.
Here are a couple of videos on the Dark Echo:

As you can see this pedal.. is pretty awesome. This is a great chance to win a pedal that not everyone on the planet owns, and is unique in it’s own way.
Fat Tone Guitars normally sells this pedal for $225.00 so this is a great opportunity.
On top of this Phil from Fat Tone Guitars is going to sweeten the deal even further. If the winner is a fan of EffectsBay’s Facebook page AND Fat Tone’s Facebook page, he is going to throw in a “Goodie bag”. What’s in the bag? Phil said he’s throw in some strings, a 20′ instrument cable and some other bonus items.
