Pedal Line Friday – 11/24 – William Bezett

Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from William Bezett. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Pedal Line Friday – 11/24 – William Bezett

Hello! My name is William Bezett. Attached is a photo of my pedalboard. I will go through it in this email! The route will be in the order that I go through the pedals.

First in the chain is the Boss SD-1. Nothing fancy here, just a well made overdrive that I got for quite cheap. After that is the Tone City Golden Plexi. Now, I’m not sure if you’ve heard of these pedals, but they are absolutely amazing for their minuscule price tag!! It is a really thick sounding distortion (which as you can probably tell by the name is based on Marshall amps). After that, I have the TC Electronic Blood Moon phaser. Another great pedal for a really low price. I mostly use this for playing Tame Impala (I’m Australian by the way) and recently found a use for a possible song idea (more into that soon). After that, I have a Boss CH-1, which isn’t any CH-1…. it’s an analogue from the 90’s which gives it that really rich chorus sound. I’m a big fan of Mac Demarco and I really love chorus in general! Following that is the Boss RE-20. I absolutely love this pedal. The tapey echoes that it produces are magnificent, and you have heaps of options! I also really like the thing it does when you hold down the tap tempo switch!! Finally, I have a TC Electronic Hall of Fame. If you need a reverb, this will do the job for you. The toneprint feature is also really really nice. And last but not least, the Mooer Micro Looper! I’ve never had any troubles with it, and it’s great for getting ideas down.

Now, I have many plans to upgrade this board, like getting a Walrus Audio Messner, Earthquaker Devices Terminal, MXR Carbon Copy, Wampler Ego, and a Boss CE-2w, because I know that what I have right now isn’t the best, but it does the job. I’ve also started writing a few songs, so hopefully, I’ll have a few songs out and I’ll be able to play live, but at the moment there are only rough demos!

Thank you very much for your time!!!
