A few months ago we did a give away for Idiot Box Effects, and you guys went nuts. I’m super excited to offer another great pedal from this inspirational company. This time it’s for the Idiot Box Effects Blower Box Distortion! This was designed for bass in mind, but I’ve played this with guitar… and frankly, it sounds awesome! The enclosure is super cool with the acid etched design. Knowing what goes into making an acid etch on enclosures, this is quite cool – and takes some work!

Here is the official description of the Blower Box.

At first the Blower Box was my attempt to capture the classic Voivod Blacky sound on the Nothing Face album. They are my favorite band of all time and Blacky is my favorite bass player of all time. I was lucky enough to get Away to do the graphics for it and even got the whole band to sign the first VERY limited run of 15!
But it turned out to not just be a pigeon holed “specific” tone pedal, but a KILLER bass overdrive/distortion beast!
One of my main goals was to make it sound great no matter what setup was used. Small thin practice amp to monster rig.

Controls are Top Left – Volume, Bottom Left – Distortion, Top Right – High cut/boost, Bottom Right – Low cut/boost.

The low boost keeps the beef and the high boost adds the snap.
All feedback on this sucker is 100% positive and I couldn’t be more stoked!!!

Acid etched smaller 4 5/8″ x 2 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ 125B sized enclosure, true bypass switching, common 9v center negative BOSS style power input and battery snap. Current draw 2mA. Power supply not included.
