Pedal Line Friday – 12/13 – Jumahat

Today’s pedal line is from Jumahat. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Pedal Line Friday - 12/13 - JumahatHi there! My name is Jumahat from Singapore. This is my 2nd post with updated stuff. More or less set on the sounds i have. Might just buy a Boss RC30 to complete my looping craze. And, I’ve been following you guys for a while now and gawking at others’ stuff. And it’s always interesting to see what other have and use. Here’s my pedal line:

Boss PS3 – for the crazy, tinkling pitch shifted sounds. though nearly everyone i know uses this for “mode 7”, i used nearly every mode except for the delays.

Boss RV3 – lots of people mentioned this as a revered pedal. i personally believe RV5 sounds better. but useful when you just need simple hall or plate reverb sounds. same (like the PS3), i don’t use the delay modes here.

Boss DD7 – really nice, simple, and straight forward delay. love the analog DM2 analog delay sound. i’m thinking of bumping this off my pedal line, and switch to the Wampler Faux Tape Echo.

Fulltone 70 BC108 – i was expecting more, but maybe i’ll have to try putting it first in line before any of the buffered pedal to get great tone out of it. will try it out this weekend and see how it goes. most of the time i’ll just place the ZVex Box-Of-Metal in this position.

Fulltone OCD – as good as everyone says! one of the really nice overdrive tones i’ve ever gotten from a single pedal. and it don’t cost a bomb! really love it!

Malekko Analog 616 – a really nice sounding analog delay pedaly. really love the way it oscillate with the regen know. cranked.

Wampler Faux Tape Echo – very, very versatile and nice sounding delay pedal. this will take over DD7’s spot as i can get more delay tones from the TC Electronic Flashback X4.

TC Electronic X4 – yeah, i’ve played the Line 6 and to me personally, this is a better pedal. used it for both delay sounds and loop function. this will solely be used for delay once i have a Boss RC30. which willdefinitely be not so soon..

EHX Memory Man w/Hazarai – the secret weapon, crazy pedal that sound so bad its so good! use it mostly for crazy washed-out droning backward-forwards loops. love this so much! definitely an essential equation to my sounds.

Pedal Line Friday - 12/13 - Jumahat
As of now, i don’t use the DD7, SD1, and Big Muff much, and they’re already on the list to be sold-off. The Rat2 and the Tech 21 XXL will be kept safely in its box, and the Zvex will usually make an appearance when i need some fuzzy sounds and the Fulltone 70 can’t deliver. What i might buy soon will be a TC HOF Reverb for the last in line, a Boss RC30 for me to up the ante on loop craziness, and maybe, just maybe another fuzz pedal. Most probably the Earthquaker Hoof or Black Arc Pharoah Fuzz. Yeah, that’s it! Thanks for reading!

Oh i did release some stuff on bandcamp here: http://mesenmampos.bandcamp.com/ do check it out!

UPDATE
I’ve sold-off the EHX Big Muff, Boss DD7 and SD1 pedals. Looking to use the cash for a used Boss RC30. Funny thing is i remembered wanting to send the DD7 and SD1 (and an RV5 Reverb if i bought one) to JHS pedals for mods; and also the Big Muff for rehousing. Seems that the pedals that are still with me, that i’m still using and loving, are purely stock! Just a personal note to myself.
