Steve Stevens is pretty badass. Thinking about this guy with Billy Idol, is pretty classic. For years, I thought he played with PiL but later found out that was actually Steve Vai, but still, this guy is pretty timeless. I was stoked to see this Premier Guitar Rig Rundown of Steve Stevens! He spends a long time discussing guitars and amps, but I wanted to see what he did about pedals… and he went into some good detail.

I bought a pedalboard from Steve a long time ago, maybe 1981, a big plexiglass monstrosity. He wired it for me and added LEDs to a number of MXR boxes. I wish I still had it. I gotta find a picture of it. Pink mirror and orange plexiglas with metal corners.

Always liked Steve Stevens guitar work with Billie Idol. He had the classic 80’s sound and great tone whether shredding or playing and picking smoothly. I don’t think Steve Vai ever played with PiL.

Correction, I was wrong about Steve Vai playing with PiL. He played on their album “Album”

I think you’ll find its NOT a MXR M108 10 Band EQ (painted). The EQ pedal shown in the picture has 12 bands!
