What’s the deal with the BBE Sonic Stomp?

What's the deal with the BBE Sonic Stomp? The BBE Sonic Stomp is a pedal that I’ve been very interested in for years. I’ve seen a lot of boards on Pedal Line Friday where a Sonic Stomp is present, and usually in the description for that entry, people usually mention they love it.. and it’s always “on”.

The principle is about getting your signal to cut through the mix.  Often times when you want low end in your tone, you start to cover up your highs. Like wise, if you want more sparkle, you loose the low end. The BBE Sonic Stomp (based on the Sonic Maximizer) is designed to push those frequencies, but without compromising the others. This is why this pedal seems quite interesting to me, but this morning, I came across a GREAT video by Just Nick, and he goes into great detail with a very thorough explanation of what the Sonic Stomp can do for your signal. I also appreciate that he demos the pedal with distortion, delay and modulation pedal.

Here is the video by JustNickMusic

If this is catching your eye, the BBE Sonic Stomp is currently available for a very affordable price of $81.92 at Amazon.

I bet this video sells a pile of Sonic Stomps. Before I shell out my money, I have to play with my BOSS EH-2 and see what it can do.
