Knobs Demo – Red Panda Particle

Knobs Demo - Red Panda ParticleA couple of days ago I posted about eQ.circuitos and included a Knobs demo. I love Knobs demos, and realized I haven’t checked any out for a while. So this morning, I wanted to explore a bit.

What caught my eye and ear immediately was the Knobs Demo of the Red Panda Particle. One of the highlights I had on my recent NAMM experience was to check out the Red Panda booth, and to meet Curt Malouin of Red Panda (based out of Detroit, MI). It’s really funny how much of a fan-boy I can get around a few builders, and Curt was one of those guys I was excited to simple say “hi” to.

Red Panda effects are similar as Earthquaker Devices pedals to me in the sense they have their own character – and how they can inspire creativity and allow you to create something unexpected (from yourself).

So let’s wrap our head around the Particle. Basically, as Red Panda describes it – it’s a granular delay / pitch shift pedal. The granular ‘slices’ are what really sets this thing apart. As you can see, you can get things to sound pretty weird or very ambient. I think this pedal is super rad.

Currently, you can purchase the Particle directly from their website. The Red Panda Particle costs $275
