Demo of the VFE Effects Fiery Red Horse by Rig Rig Rig Gear Demo

Demo of the VFE Effects Red Horse by RigRigRigToday I wanted to talk about a great demo of the VFE Effects Fiery Red Horse by Rig Rig Rig Gear Demo. I really enjoy searching out gear demo channels on YouTube (usually via Twitter), and came across Rig Rig Rig Gear Demo who are out of Jakarta, Indonesia. Check subscribe to them on YouTube and follow them on Twitter.

VFE Effects has been making some awesome pedals for a few years now, and are growing and doing great things. Peter Rutter of VFE has been a long time supporter of this blog – in fact, we did a review of the Red Horse a few years ago! VFE Effects is a business that is always evolving and pushing themselves. I really have enjoyed the effort they have put into their pedals though the years. Please check out VFE Effects!

So let’s check out this demo by RIG RIG RIG Gear Demo

I was impressed with a couple of things on this demo. #1 – it’s almost 13 minutes long. Very thorough. #2 The quality of recording – both audio and video are good. #3 I enjoyed that they added the Fiery Red Horse into the pedal board to show how it reacts and interacts with other pedals in the chain. I thought that was a little different than standard demos for sure, and shows additional important characteristics of the pedal. And #4 Supro amps… I would love to play Supro some day!

So let’s talk about the VFE Effects Fiery Red Horse. The Red Horse is a versatile fuzz, and with a lot of VFE pedals… featuring some great options to deal in your tone. A traditional fuzz, would have volume, gain and tone.. not the Red Horse. We have ‘power’  which adjusts the amount of power fed to the dual gain stages.. from 3v to 16v (9v power supply) and 3v to 27v with 15v power supply.

Gain sets the gain stage.. more distortion and volume.

Level sets the output volume.

Instead of the traditional ‘tone’, the Fiery Red Horse allows you to dial in Bass and Treble which will help you find that mid-range that allow your guitar to cut through the band mix.

And finally, the Red Horse has compression. This is a variable HCC Circuit. This is how VFE describes this – “Variable HCC circuitry allows you to fine tune the harmonics, compression, and clipping character of your tone.”

If you’re interested in this great fuzz.. you can pick up the VFE Fiery Red Horse Fuzz for only $179 at Amazon.com!
