Fuzz Box Girl – Fuzz Fatale Available for Purchase

Fuzz Box Girl - Fuzz Fatale Available for PurchaseOver the last few months, there has been some developments brewing over at Fuzz Box Girl. Carl from GOD BOX (we demo’d the GOD BOX Tesla Fuzz a while back) and FBG teamed up to create a new and versatile fuzz called the Fuzz Fatale. GOD BOX hand wires (point to point on perf board) components and definitely know their way around a fuzz circuit. Obviously FBG knows a great deal about fuzz boxes and from that, a very good sounding fuzz came out of the mix.

The Fuzz Fatale is a silicon based fuzz circuit with a matched pair of silicon transistors. Some features on the box that are nice – 6 way rotary tone selection and the “Seduce” knob which is a voltage sag control (dropping from 9v to 4v). Love the dying battery or under powered sound. Definitely gives that Germanium vibe for fuzzes. The other controls are Fuzz, Tone, Volume and Destroy. The Destroy is a toggle switch which adds additional silicon clipping diodes to the circuit. With this in combination of the Seduce you can get some of the sputtering nastiness for extreme fuzz goodness.

From the clips I’ve heard, I was immediately impressed with the versatility. You can get a lot of fuzz flavors from extreme tones, to some classic fuzz tones to very nice overdrive tones. The pedal appears to respond extremely well with with the guitar’s tone and volume controls as well and cleans up nicely.

Here is a great demo by Burgerman:

The Fuzz Fatale also has a custom FBG graphic and is only limited to a low 50 units. The Fuzz Fatale can be yours for $300 (in the US)  or $325 internationally. Each unit will be numbered and signed by FBG. Additionally, you will get a autographed FBG picture and FFB picks and stickers with each purchase.

If you’re looking for a versatile fuzz, this might be your jam. Not to mention, this will be a unique fuzz to have.
