Free Shirt Wednesday – 2/2 – Mojo’s Army

Wow.. it’s been a little while since the last Free Shirt Wednesday! Okay, that’s out of the way. This week’s Free Shirt Wednesday is brought to you by Mojo’s Army! Mojo’s (one man) Army is a solo hard rock project based out of the San Francisco Bay area. Mojo (well, I think his name is Mojo) is a former drummer and graphic designer that went the songwriter / producer route.

Mojo’s Army has been a friend of EffectsBay.com for a while (via Twitter – @mojosarmy). He even submitted his pedal line a little while back.

I wanted to check out his blog (MojosArmy.com) to listen to some clips. Immediately, I was drawn to the naked chicks w/guns. Okay, now you have my attention. The first thing I checked out is a video where he covers Marcy’s Playground – Sex and Candy. I’ll include that below. Not bad.. I was diggin’ the NIN style vocals. I haven’t listened to the original version in a long time, but remember liking it back in the day.

In his audio section he has various clips and remixes. Guitar tones are heavy and his compositions are tight. Definitely give ’em a listen. Personally, this is pretty inspirational to me. I’ve been wanting to work on some type of solo project and I really like hearing/seeing people that get it done. Well done Mr. Mojo.
