Back in the 90s when grunge broke, I was definitely into everything that was happening – including Pearl Jam’s Ten album. Being from Montana, it felt good to be somewhat close to something amazing. Always being into non-mainstream music, it was cool hearing music I was into being ‘accepted’, but that wore off very quickly. Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament is from my home state of Montana, and always appreciated that he still has a home here, and kept close to the state. Over the years, Pearl Jam has been cranking albums and putting on some fantastic shows and epic tours, with a fanatical fan base still. I may not be super into their music today, but they have all of my respect.. that’s for sure.
Mike McCready.. is an animal. I’ve always respected his guitar playing as well as his rig(s). The guys is pretty awesome. I came across his Tumblr account and noticed a shot of a recent pedalboard, and wanted to break it down. A few of you might be into what’s going on there. People familiar with Mike, might be surprised that the Ibanez Tubescreamer is off the board.
