Pedal Line Friday – 7/1 – Matthew Swasta

Today’s pedal line is from Matthew Swasta. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Pedal Line Friday - 7/1 - Matthew SwastaHey there! I have been working on this signal chain for a few years. Like many others pedal chains, this one is constantly evolving. I have been playing in bands in the Little Rock AR area for a couple years. My current signal path is running one of three guitars, an Aria Pro II, Carvin single cut, Fender Jaguar HH and and older Carvin DC127 Koa, into a series of pedals and then into a Bogner Ecstasy 101b. My pedal path is as follows:

Fulltone Fuzz 70
Dunlop 535q
Ernie Ball VP Jr – Hardwire tuner
Carl Martin Octa-switch

Carl M loop 1 – MXR Micro Amp
Carl M loop 2 – Fulltone OCD
Carl M loop 3 – EHX Nano Smallstone
Carl M loop 4 – Boss CE-20 Chorus (looking to replace soon)
Carl M loop 5 – Boss DD-20 Digital Delay to Strymon El Capistan
Carl M loop 6 – Hardwire Reverb to Strymon blueSky

The effects loop on the Bogner has a Roland SRV 3030 reverb running between the pre and power amp sections.

Things get more complicated here. I then run a line out from the Bogner and split the signal with a Loop-master y splitter into an Akai Headrush and a Boss DD-20 running back to a Carvin power amp sending the looping signals to a Guytron cabinet loaded with Eminence Cannabis Rex speakers.
