Pedal Line Friday – 6/23 – Roberto Palazzo

Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Roberto Palazzo. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Pedal Line Friday - 6/23 - Roberto Palazzo

Hi Hank,
Love your site, always learning stuff from your posts, especially when new gear is out! It’s funny, I was literally just looking to upgrade a pick up in one of my guitars and Boom! you had an awesome article today about pick up’s. Sometimes, we are all on the same page. I love when that happens!

Here is my submission to Pedal line Friday.
Take care!

Pedal Line Friday – 6/23 – Roberto Palazzo

Hey everyone,
Hope all is well. We are living in the most incredible time to be playing guitar! Some of the coolest gear is being made today and I’m just so glad to be playing guitar. I thought I would participate in Pedal line Friday. I learned a lot over the years from looking at the pedal boards of others, trial and error with pedals, cabs and amps and all that helped me to make some of my own informed decisions, a reason why effects bay is so helpful. So, here is my current “Live” configuration. For me, I bring only the essentials to the live gig, otherwise, my pedal board gets nuts because I want everything on it. The studio is really where all the effects fun is at for me!  I use this set up in three different bands, which I am the guitarist in. The bands are: Interstate 3, The Vigils, and Mad Society.

Here is the signal chain:
2009 Gibson Les Paul studio (workhorse guitar) into boss Tu-2, into dod phasor 490 (battery operation sounds best), into pigtronix fat drive, into Box of War, into electric mistress (pure syrup), into guyatone SV-2, into MF Trem by moog, into El Capistan, into Freeze, into Exotic EP boost(vintage mode), into Boss RC-30( why did they get rid of reverse?) and out to the Orange AD140 HTC which sits on top of a Port City 2×12 OS Wave Cabinet with two greenbacks @ 16ohm. These cabs are incredible, more than just a box with speakers! Thanks, and I hope this helps someone out there! Life without music would be a mistake! -Roberto Palazzo
