Today’s pedal line is from Mario (@disandroid). If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com . Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
I use the following from the guitar to the amp:
KORG STROBE TUNER – great tuner with Kit from Nightrider display lights. good stuff for dark stages.
MXR M-102 DYNA COMP (COMPRESSOR) – a new addition. never believed in compression before. still unsure. changes the whole dynamic of my ‘sound’. still shaky
MXR M-104 DISTORTION + (OVERDRIVE) – tried and true, have always used this as my go-to overdrive. always gives me that extra punch and crunch to drive those leads
IBANEZ TS9DX (DISTORTION) – this has always been my favorite distortion. that tube distortion recreation and crunch that you can’t beat!
MARSHALL VIBRATREM (VIBRATO/TREMOLO) – this was a lucky pick-up. this does wonders when you need to make that bridge stand out
MXR M-101 PHASE 90 (PHASER) – one knob, but it’s all you need. from simple and clear phasing effect to a later zeppelin watery sound. you got it here.
MXR M169 CARBON COPY ANALOG DELAY (DELAY) – probably my favorite delay pedal. very versatile and you can get some crazy ass sounds out this. turn up the re-generator and you’re in a new dimension.
Not pictured but occasionally switched out:
DANELECTRO FAB ECHO
DANELECTRO FAB CHORUS
DANELECTRO FAB FLANGER
these last 3 are simple but very affordable pedals that do the job and last.
DANELECTRO P B + J DELAY/ECHO – this used to be my favorite pedal of all. so small yet so enormous sounding
ERNIE BALL VOLUME PEDAL – good for non-manual volume swells. i should really use this more often.
BROWNSVILLE WAH-WAH – a simple, good, solid wah pedal. no complaints here.
Non-pedal equipment:
E-bow
Metal Slide
Magnus Chord Organ

Hey there brotato, what kinda cables are you using to connect your pedals? I recently bought a 12 pack of Musician’s Gear cables from musiciansfriend because it was like fifteen bucks, only to find that they are very picky, and only work about ten percent of the time*. Looking for cheap but RELIABLE alternatives, cause i got a ton of pedals.
*They destroy all signal when using any more then one in a chain. Literally, there is no sound coming out. Also, they will not work in any position on my board except for Crybaby -> Super Overdrive (boss). And that only works if there is only one pedal after them in the chain. Depressing.

i use these. they’re 6″ patch cables. i usually replace them every 6 months or when needed. they’ve saved space and wonders. the picture i submitted for my setup does not reflect my current setup, but i still use the patch cables to link up the pedals. hope that helps.
