Pedal Line Friday – 12/25 – Ian Pineda

Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Ian Pineda. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Anyway here is my chain in order,

One Control Junction Box – Input from my guitar to the pedal board
Lava Cable
JHS Pulp n’ Peel – Great compressor
Lava Cable
TC Electronic Polytune 2 – Tuner, better than the first tuner because the LED is brighter
Lava Cable
Emerson Paramount – I’m using it as my 1st stage drive, its very transparent, that keeps my real tone from my amp (VOX AC15C1)
George L’s Cable
Bondi Effects Sick As – 2nd stage drive and one of the best overdrive i played. Toggle (up) switch gives you compression. very transparent as well. When gain turned all the way down, its basically a clean boost!
George L’s Cable
Walrus Audio Mayflower – 3rd stage drive to really get out of the mix and stand out. Its also an overdrive/distortion i believe.
George L’s Cable
VP Jr. – in the middle of my chain on so that even when i put my volume down, i don’t loose the ‘gains’ of my overdrive. And also that way i can keep the ‘wet signals’ (delay and reverb) thru even when I’m turned all the way down, great for swells!
George L’s Cable
Strymon Timeline – Best delay ever!
George L’s Cable  (stereo)
Strymon Bigsky – Best reverb ever! 🙂 its like Strymon grabbed the angels from heaven and put it in that small box! thats how amazing it sounds!
George L’s Cable (stereo)
Tc Electronic Ditto Stereo – cool looper. Also i got the stereo in particular to have two inputs and outputs for stereo! I can also put a backing track like pads while looping on top of the pads, and playing on top of those! sounds pretty full

Disaster Area Designs DMC 3XL – is my MIDI controller for both Strymon pedals. Its probably the coolest pedal on my board and the best thing live! I use 3 settings in particular, (but theres a whole lot more you can do/customize in this pedal, like being to able to access your looper in Timeline, the freeze button on Big sky etc.)
“A Mode” (by pressing the middle button) which access my Timeline
“B Mode” access my Big sky (using the left and right button)
“P Mode” for presets and it controls both Timeline and Big Sky – Soooo much better live!!
