For years, the fine folks at Celestial Effects have been great supporters of EffectsBay. We love promoting their tweets (and man.. do they offer a lot of great deals on Twitter.. so you should follow). Celestial Effects is based out of Hudson, MA and they produce TOP SHELF pedals – so this particular give away.. is pretty awesome.

They guys at Celestial Effects sent over a Capricorn Rock Distortion to give away, and man.. oh man.. she’s pretty awesome! So let’s talk about this unit! The Capricorn is a boost / overdrive /distortion pedal with versatility! Controls include Vol, Limit, Edge and Gain. There is a 3 position toggle  – two symmetrical silicon rectifier diodes, three asymmetrical MOSFETs or remove all diodes from the feedback section of the opamp.  Vol controls the overall volume, Limit controls the gain of the first amp section (transistor gain stage). Gain manages the second amp section (Opamp gain stage). Edge controls the second order gain control of the opamp gain stage but also effects the edge/attack of the signal.
