Yesterday, @pelossus via Twitter asked about good fuzz for his bass player. I recommended the Bass Big Muff Pi. I know a few people that play this.. and love it. It’s based on the older green Russian Big Muff circuit, and I know of one bass player that plays that particular pedal. It’s also quite affordable to try out.
Here is the official description:
The Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi is a distortion pedal that gives bass players that great distortion that the Big Muff is known for with no loss of low end. The Bass Big Muff Pi Pedal features controls for volume, tone, sustain, dual outputs (effect and dry for recording), and a mini switch for bass boost. The Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi Distortion Pedal is powered by a single 9-volt battery or optional AC power supply (sold separately).
