Today’s pedal line is from Joe Ward. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
I’m a bassist and this is my current pedal board. I’ve got Digitech Whammy (I use it mainly for octave down + dry signal, but also 1 or 2 octaves up to double up guitar lines as well as some Tool inspired lines), Electro Harmonix Q Tron Plus (awesome for Bootsy and Flea inspired funk lines!), EBS Multi Comp (the best compressor I’ve ever used, helps level out everything especially if I’m playing slap stuff yet amazingly transparent sounding), MXR Phase 90 (classic tone and easy to set), Boss DD7 (I use this for looping, reverse, analog and digital delay sounds) and Tech 21 Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver D.I. (an amazing bit of kit for going either into an amp or PA or both, as well as one of the best bass overdrives money can buy!).
I’m in Funk/Rock band Other Left from Nottingham England.

That’s a nice set up. My cousin plays bass and is trying to decide what compressor to get. I’m going to show him this.

Cheers Tony, yeah the EBS multicomp is definitely the hub of my pedalboard. It’s probably the best “non rack” compressor i’ve used. It’s worth every penny I would heartily recommend it!
